Things are rockin’ and rollin’ in the SC Carts shop as we enjoy some sunshine and eagerly await spring! This metallic burgundy Phantom custom Precedent golf cart has been tucked away since our last post in December, but since it won’t be long until this gorgeous cart goes to it’s new home, we’ve been working away on it!
As you may remember, last time we updated you on this cart, the cart looked just like this:
We can’t wait to show you what it looks like now!
The first order of business was to install a brand new bucket wiring harness.
Here we are running the harness through the floor grooves and into the battery box.
Because this cart has 6 8 volt batteries a voltage reducer is needed to run 12 volt accessories. Here it is installed cleaning in the front of the cart.
Here you can see all the wiring coming together, this will all be placed behind the dash.
Alright now we are starting to get to the good stuff! Here is the brand new Phantom body that just arrived last week.
The Phantom body installed on the Precedent, this going to be one classy machine! Also you can see the brake light wires hanging out the back.
Here’s the body with the protective plastic all removed. What a sharp color.
Next to go on was the soft grip steering wheel. This is a factory Club Car steering wheel, that feels great on the hands.
For a custom touch we decided to do a little work to the dash. We started off with a wood grain locking dash.
Then we brought out the smallest member of our paint gun family, our SATA minijet.
Next we mixed up a bit of House of Kolor Orion Silver.
We then dusted the custom dash with it, but did not cover it completely.
Next we mixed up some House of Kolor Kandy! SA-WEEET!
Here it is over the Orion silver. This is looking great.
Finally, we laid down two good coats of clear to bring out the shine.
This cart is humming along now! The cool thing about all of our carts is that each customer wants something just a bit different and that is what makes each cart so awesome!
