Hey Guys we have started on another cool Club Car Precedent build. This one is for one of our newest customers, he had us service his Club Car DS and decided on upgrading to a one of a kind SC Carts Club Car Precedent!
This cart will be living up at Predator Ridge Golf resort, one of Canada’s premier golf resorts and recognized world wide! We are always excited when we get to put another SC cart up at Predator. Follow along this build is sure to impress!
We started this build off by rebuilding the front end of this Precedent, here you can see things are looking great.
After getting the front end under control we moved onto the rear drivetrain and found a problem. Here you can see the drum was broke apart trying to remove it from the brake pads. This drum had been hanging up and creating heat.
We discarded the damaged drum and replaced it with one of our re machined SC Carts drums, that we machine right in house.
We then replaced the brake pads and cleaned the entire brake mechanism.
The other side got the same treatment, less the drum replacement as it was in top condition.
We then painted the Club Car brake drums and reinstalled them.
Next we serviced the rear end replacing the fluid with fully synthetic gear oil.
With all the service work done to this electric buggy. It was time to add the custom 12″ STI wheel package. This is the HD4 wheel and this is the first cart in Canada to have them.
Next it was time to give this cart some light up front for those late trips home from the Predator Ridge club house!
To add a little style and security we installed a carbon fiber locking dash.
Then the Precedent front underbody got installed.
Here you can see we installed the SC Carts solar charge controller. This is the brains of the SC Carts solar powered golf cart.
With the solar brain installed we were able to installed the rear underbody on the Club Car chassis. It’s really starting to look awesome now!
Depending on the look of the cart we like to install the rear bumper, this gives it an aggressive look, but also helps in taking some bumps.
With the Precedent chassis all ready and in roller form. We started in on painting the main body. This Precedent body got a throughout sanding and then several coats of primer sealer were laid down.
The primer sealer made way for this amazing red paint job. This Club Car is going to look awesome!
Well that’s where we stop for this week, make sure to come back next week as we keep progressing on this build and maybe another 🙂
