SC Carts is continually pushing the limits of custom cart innovation, that is why we have teamed up with a leading manufacture in the solar industry to design and produce a solar charging system exclusively for our custom SC Carts.
There are a tremendous amount of benefits with having a solar charging system on your cart, it continually maintains your battery pack which greatly extends the overall life of it. Also it will extend the range of your electric cart on each charge. Many of our resort customers will benefit greatly as their typical use for their custom cart is to head down to the their boat, or off to the resort pool and then back to their home. With these typically short commutes and then long standing periods the cart is continually charging. Many customers may find that during the sunny periods they vacation they may not have to plug their cart into the grid!
In this build we also feature our new standard length SC Carts roof system. This is the same design that is used in our stretch build, it is just a shorter version of it.
Lets get going!
Here we have the Precedent with it’s new 12″ wheel and tire package installed after it’s complete SC Carts inspection.
We start the rolling process of making our SC Carts custom roof system.
After rolling all the parts and fitting them in the jig you can see the Precedent roof starting to take shape.
After tack welding the custom Club Car roof frame, we remove it from the cart and do the final welding on the table.
Here you can see how much cooler and more streamline the SC Carts roof looks vs. the factory roof.
With our roof back from powder coat it was time to install our aluminum composite roof panel.
Next we moved onto our automotive style windscreen.
With the main components of the SC Carts Precedent roof system installed, we removed it from the cart and installed our custom solar panel.
We then set the new Precedent roof system aside and installed the Club Car under body.
Now time for the color! This is a custom mixed metallic burgundy paint. Which is semi transparent.
We wanted to give the dash a custom look so we sprayed it as well.
Here is the main Precedent body with the burgundy base coat applied.
Now here is the same Club Car Precedent body after 5 coats of HOK Kandy!
Check out the dash! It has really come to life with the custom paint.
With the clear coat dry we began by installing the Club Car Precedent dash.
Next we installed the body and added a silver metallic pinstripe.
Next we installed our SC Carts Precedent custom roof system. This really gives the cart its only look!
There was some sunlight peering in through the shop windows so we couldn’t resist rolling the cart outside for a look at the paint in the light.
This SC Carts Precedent looks amazing in the sun, also notice we installed a polished steering column and wheel adapter.
We then brought the cart back in and hooked up the custom Club Car Precedent solar charging system.
Well that was a lot of cool packed into one post, so we will leave it there for now and pick up with this unique build next week!!! Come back, you won’t want to miss it.
