Here’s a fantastically cool project, for a very cool cat! The owner has given us some general guide lines but is keeping the reins loose enough to let us work our magic.
This cart is designed to be used for golf and also to cruise the high end neighborhood of Predator Ridge Golf Resort!
The cart we are starting with is a very clean 2010 Club Car Precedent, follow along you won’t want to miss this build!!!
So we are starting off with a really clean, well maintained 2010 Precedent!
First things to go are the seat and the roof.
Then off comes the basket and roof supports. You don’t see to many of these carts in gray.
We removed the rear body. The Club Car Precedent is so nice to work with as they are designed with assembly in mind.
Next we removed the front body cowling, this exposes the under body!
With the bodies out of the way it was time to remove the front and rear under body. This is the same procedure we do for all of are carts, regardless of if they are going to be custom or stock. It allows us to ensure everything gets inspected.
We then removed the rocker panels, the wheel covers and the floor mat. The cart is now ready to be pressure washed.
We have lifted it up on the Bobcat and brought it outside to be washed thoroughly.
With the cart chassis clean and drip drying outside, we were able to move on to prepping the body.
The first thing we always do is remove the decals.
It was a nice sunny and warm day today so the cart dried quickly and we were on to inspecting and cleaning the front end up. Here it is after the pressure was.
Here it is after our inspection and detail cleaning.
The front end looked very good, so we were able to move to the rear and inspect the brakes and rear drive line.
After a complete inspection and cleaning of the brakes we were able to re install the drum.
We did the same for both sides. These brakes looked like new.
The second drum installed, and that wraps up the drive line end of things on this cart.
Now for some fun, we installed the blacked out rims on the cart, this is a 12″ rim with a nice offset.
This cart already looks mean!
It has a nice wide and low stance, this will handle very nicely on the paved roads of Predator!
So that the owner can see where he is going after dinner at the club house, we installed the bumper light package. This cart is already shaping up and we haven’t even got to the good stuff yet.
That’s it for this week but make sure to follow along next week as we return with more updates. It’s going to be cool!!!
